Dear Kingcon Family and Friends,

Kingcon NW is less than 2 months out and we are so excited to come together again after such a long time. And we continue to be vigilant regarding health and safety issues, Covid protocols and the best ways we can all stay safe and healthy.

As 2021 has progressed on we have had some very good things happen surrounding Covid, vaccinations and opening up the economy. And unfortunately we have also seen some trends with the variant that are less than encouraging, especially with the unvaccinated population.

With the health and safety of our guests, attendees and staff as our foremost goal, the development staff at Kingcon NW feels that we need to move in the direction of a vaccination / neg. testing protocol for our event.

Please keep in mind that we are constantly reviewing and re-evaluating precautions and protocols as they relate to the current COVID-19 situation which continues to change rapidly. These precautions are as of this moment in time, and we encourage you to revisit this page prior to traveling to the show:

  • Everyone attending Kingcon NW will need to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination with vaccines approved or authorized by the FDA or WHO.  or a  Negative COVID-19 Test. If you have questions about being fully vaccinated, please check out the CDC information on their website.
  • As proof of vaccination, we will accept the following: Vaccination Cards, Vaccination Records, or an official immunization record from outside Washington or the US. Either your physical card or a photocopy or digital image on your smartphone will be accepted.
  • In addition to your proof of vaccination, you must show a government-issued ID with the same name as your COVID documentation.
  • If you are not vaccinated or have not finished the full vaccination 2 week waiting period, proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test is required. Tests must be taken within 48 hours of your arrival at the event. (Children 11 years of age or younger are exempt from having to get a negative PCR COVID-19 test.)
  • Per  King County regulations and Kingcon NW protocols, everyone over the age of 2 who attends is required to wear a CDC approved face covering while at the show. Face coverings must cover both nose and mouth. A bandana is not an approved mask and a face shield is not a CDC approved substitute for a mask.
  • Face coverings can be removed when eating in designated food court areas and by panelists while socially distanced on stage, but masks must be worn at all other times at Kingcon NW.
  • Kingcon NW 2021 has been physically designed with more space to promote distancing between attendees of different social circles. if as all possible, please leave distance between yourself and others, and avoid physical contact like hugs, handshakes, and high fives when interacting with others in your normal socializing group.
  • Throughout the Hyatt Regency and the South Port Towers,  Kingcon NW will be taking additional measures to support a safe environment. This includes precautions like enhanced cleaning procedures and additional sanitation stations throughout the building. Plus all of our volunteer staff will have complete Covid sanitization training.
  • In order to keep everyone at Kingcon NW safe, please make sure you are healthy and well before coming. If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, or have been in close contact with someone who has had COVID-19 in the 14 days prior to the event, please do not enter the convention center.
